New Aata...

Wow the kids of the upcoming aata episode are cool.
12 from 6000 kids is a tough competition indeed. Good luck to aata.
Helping save Fussy's sister is really kind of everyone who contributed.
This does show how much Omkar shares his success with others. There is no comparison between any small screen producer or anchor and Omkar - he is unique and such a wonderful person. Of course, only those who have a helping heart can really understand him!

Missed out a lot...

First of all I really feel bad for Adrushtam... I wish it comes back again...

The performance of Shiv Shankar master and Rajashekar master on Wednesday's episode was awesome... I liked it very much.

Thursday, November 12, 2009

Wow. Today's Challenge was awesome!
The fight is getting tougher. Also as I hoped the arguments decreased and I feel really happy for that.
Omkar's way of supporting his team of performers is really nice.

Article in 'The Hindu' on 2nd Nov 2009

Reality shows a boon for youngsters out of the box.

Channels always yearn to end up with a concept that could turn out to be a flagship programme that not only attracts viewers in large number but also sustain the success. In these terms, ‘Maa TV’ has been lucky to be in a position to boast of two very successful shows on its schedule. While Udaya Bhanu’s “Re la re re la” continues to maintain its winning streak, another has been added to the channel kitty in the form of “Challenge” .

The dance reality show by Omkar, who has emerged as one of the leading male anchors of the Telugu television industry, has come up as a scintillating affair and “Challenge” in its 12 episodes on air has already built a certain repute of its own..
Vidhya gave an emotional final touch to the last elimination in 'Challenge'.
It's true lots of people are involved behind the show and they are the unsung heroes of every show.
But to manage all the crew and plan is equally important and it is for this reason Omkar is praised from time and again. Had he just been an anchor he wouldn't have so much of applause.
He build his team and his company on his own. He is flourishing and completed four projects successfully until now and more importantly he offers lifeline to many new talents in the entertainment industry.
And the reason behind his success is quite evident : avid planning, meticulous hardwork and persistant monitoring of his work from time to time.

Elimination round in challenge

The elimination process in 'Challenge' is sophisticatedly engineered. It does bring out the real talent out of the contestants coming into the elimination row.
There are two rounds, in each the two contestants have to perform for the same song:
1) With one of the three options - using a property, single legged or blind on table.
2) Expressions and emotional involvement.
And Omkar is all praise for devising this !

saregamapa on zee telugu

Well, no titles, so don't know who's behind the show.. but net says it is produced by Omkar. I believe it's true, the Oak team was telling that it would produce Sare ga ma pa.

Thursday, October 29, 2009

If you ask me what's the best amongst Oak projects, I would say it's Adrushtam.
I liked the concept and the show is nice and clean without any fuss. I liked the body language of Omkar in this show and the way he keeps tension till the end and no one goes empty handed !

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

I think the new series of 'saregama' in zee telugu has some role of oak team in it. I heard a month ago that oak team is intending to make this program and then singers Geetha Madhuri and Hemachandra coming up in Omkar's Adrushtam and Neol giving music to the promo all made me suspect this. But the timings seem to clash with that of Challenge's. So got to wait till 29th to get all the doubts cleared!

Saturday, October 24, 2009

Today's Adrushtam was with Sathwik. I didn't like to see him crying at the end...truly a bad ending.

Friday, October 23, 2009

I wish the length of arguments in Challenge decreases. It would be lot better if that happens.
Wow.. Shiv Shankar Master said he is a fan of Geethika on 21th challenge show. I was really happy to hear that!

Elimination round in Aata

In the last elimination round of Aata… Geethika was there in the elimination row. Of course I am a very big fan of Geethika, actually my whole family is and the moment she said “ I have done good job yet they decreased the score wantedly” there was a very big applause.
I am trying to prevent myself into this fan thing while writing but I can’t help myself agreeing with her because all my friends argued fiercely when I simply said “Maybe she shouldn’t say like that even though she might be correct”. Such is the support she has got. Some of my friends are die-hard fans of her that they never miss her performance whatever it might take and part of Orkut’s fans of Geethika communities!

Adrustam with Sagar

I am very happy that Sagar won a car. His father has 1,50,000 debts. This would be some help to their family.
We should be happy that atleast some are being helped. Did this ever happen in any of the tv shows earlier?
Omkar is a good man. He doesn’t need to help all these people… his work would be lot simpler. From his shows new talent are truly being helped and of course some people are being bought out of financial troubles!

Monday, October 12, 2009

I missed out a lot...
The elimination in Aata on last Tuesday was dropped. Truly a wise decision. Because had they been eliminated, both of them would have come to the show again today through wild card entry...
The age factor does pose a problem in judging kids but Geethika is everyone's favourite (The Net is flooding with her fans every where, she did get a good catch with her graceful performance.) and it would be more logical to go by ths majority in deciding who has got the talent..

Sare ga ma pa in Zee telugu

This program really fascinates me. Though the concept of the program some what seems related to those of the Oak team's yet the quality of the program makes me doubt!

Dedication decides success

It's true that how much we dedicate ourselves on something decides how much successful we can be in getting it.
Omkar garu puts so much in his work and that indeed is his success secret...
How much care he takes in his planning, can just be explained by the attire he chooses for each program like T-shirt for Ankitam, half sleeves for Bhairawadweepam, kurtas for Aata, half coats for Adrustam and full coat for Challenge ( I should thank my friend for giving this list!).
If he takes so much care for his attire itself, God knows how much effort he puts into his program planning!

Adrustam with Shiv Shankar Master..

Wow ! I liked the game today... really intresting..thought Shiv Shankar master would win today, but he lost path in middle and then finall did make a good win of one lakh..this game is more of how much we understand Omkar garu, he is only hint in the game. If we rightly understand this, we can win a good sum!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !

Hey guys today is Omkar's birthday..so lets wish him good health, prosperity and success!
Many happy returns of the day Omkar garu!

'Challenge' rocks !

Wow, the show is awesome!
I pretty much liked the judgment. No nonsense, only points in judgment.
Especially there is no over exaggeration.
But even this show doesn’t seem to escape the quarrels…I dragged my family and friends into this show and they did scold me because the fight does seem to happen much in words and looks so bad …
The other one which even me upset are the lights… why do they glaze lights on camera that should be on the dancer, right?
Anyways I really enjoyed the tough fight though with meager clarity…
maybe it’s gonna change next week…let’s see!

Adrushtam with Rajamouli

So now I understand why Omkar garu calls it a mind game. He always supports the players except that he cautions them sometimes. By understanding him we can win through the game. If he tells confidently about something in the box it means it has that and when there is ambiguity in his words then it means there isn't anything big in it. That's it !

Aata 4 junior Ganesh in Adrushtam..

Today’s episode of Adruhtam was wonderful. Every one of us who saw it would be happy, right? Ganesh won Rs3,10,000/- . Hailing from a family with mother earning 2,000/- and father 1,500/-, it would indeed be a big relief for Ganesh’s family.
Initially when Ganesh was losing large sums Omkar garu’s moves did make me sad that it wouldn’t be fair to build tension on the little kid. But then I realized that it was to tell Ganesh that he should think seriously before he takes an action. And then when Ganesh started playing seriously everything is fine and finally he won. Hey, have you noticed Omkar garu felt happy when Ganesh picked low valued boxes.
It was so good to see the happiness in Ganesh’s face and smile is such a wonderful thing in world…
Who could get a real smile, a real one… it’s priceless yet one can buy with little of their heart…
The innocent smile on the face of a budding rose when you give him a fruit, the heart full smile with tears rolling down shrunken, wrinkled yet delicate cheeks of an old lady when you enquire her well being…they all are precious smiles…the moment you get that smile clock stops ticking, world around becomes silent and that moment engraved so deeply in heart that it remains afresh for the rest of your life. Maybe this is reason for all the goodness in humankind.
Well I don’t want to kill you with my emotions and experiences! But it’s because I felt so happy. I am so, so, so,... happy.
Omkar garu is really great man. I wish God shower him all His blessings !

In today's challenge show, group B – Vidhya, Rajashekar (‘Looks Rajashekar’ from today!), Mounika, Pavan Sunil (Yet another new member entering the Omkar’s family!), Subranth and Bharath was introduced.
Oaks’s new member, Pavan Sunil, became emotional for giving him the chance to participate in this show. He said that he has been working for a break for the last ten years and wishes to fulfill it through this opportunity. He went on saying that initially when Omkar was planning to begin Aata , Pavan spoke to him. Pavan said that he thought that it was not a good idea as during that time the dance shows were on the verge of fall and he praised Omkar saying that today if dancers are still coming to industry is because of Omkar and his team’s successful reality dance shows and the boost that they have given to new dancers.
There does seem to be a problem with the view. Done in long shots the expressions on the performer's face wasn't clearly visible. But it's just an introduction so it might get clearer with the actual competition starting.
Coming to the introduction of the group B members, it was nice and then there were fights with words too! Let’s hope it would be more of a challenge with performances than with words.

What's on Challenge today

Well, the expectations were high about this new program. Indeed the concept is interesting and is worth all the waiting. Truly it stands for what it says “The ultimate dance show”.
The panel of judges –Amma Rajashekar Master and Shiv Shankar Master – does signify the quality of this program.
The introduction of judges is itself fantastic !
The set is huge and the backdrop is bright and the stage is heavily illuminated.
The group A comprising of – Amit, Pavani, Malesh, Anu, Sandeep and Sunny was introduced. It’s a nice start!

The elimination round in Aata program was tough today. All coming from same team, emotions ran high. The way Omkar responded today hits hard on the fact that he never lets partiality or indiscipline creep into his show.

He controlled the mentors in the right way and supported Geethika.

We may wonder why he never controlled the quarrels that happened in earlier shows. One must understand that he does have that control to stop anyone anytime but if he interferes with the mentors and judges every time, that would not be conductive for them to give impartial judgments.

Today’s program of Adhrustam has something to say about. Nagendra Siva Prasad’s mother says that her son helps support their family. This is yet another example that tells us that Omkar helps talented people Nagendra Siva Prasad and goes long way in bringing change their lives

Challenge

This program starts from today. Omkar took great care to build this new program.

Curtain raise of this show was launched on Saturday at Prasad Labs, Hyderabad. Director Rajamouli and music director M M Keeravani, writer Chinni Krishna graced the event. Keeravani launched the show’s title music composed by Noel. Keeravani complimented Noel’s compositions.

Rajamouli said he liked Omkar’s work on TV. “ I am jealous of Omkar. His trailer is amazing and it shows his technical brilliance. He is very energetic guy and I wish him good luck with Challenge.”
“As the name suggests, it is a face off between the most electric and energetic dancers,” says Sharat Marar, CEO of Maa TV.

The promo itself is a big hit. He didn't compromise anywhere either in its concept or in it's making. He says it took two days to shoot two minutes of this promo. All the technicians involved say that Omkar made it on par with the promos of films. Omkar seems to be very much excited by his new project. Let’s see how it’s going to be.

Wishing Good Luck to Omkar and his Team!

Adrushtam

A new game show directed, anchored by Omkar started. Omkar describes it as a mind game. It’s about 28 boxes which have cash prizes ranging from one rupee to 5 lakhs and gifts from a chocolate to a car. The contestant has to eliminate 27 boxes. The prize in the left over box is then given to the contestant. The contestant even gets the opportunity to pick a lucky room out of three after every elimination stage of six boxes. If he is lucky he wins cash prize of five thousand.
Hey, I did notice something…he even suits his attire to the mood of the show!
Nice game… anyone can play this… doesn’t require any GK!
This programme is being telecasted on Saturdays and Sundays at 7 PM in India.

A brief of all that happened until now

He started out his career as an anchor for the program Ankitam in Aditya TV. In the first program he anchored, Ankitam (a program in which song is played on audience demand) in Aditya Tv, he recognized frequent callers by their voice and many telugu television anchors follow that now!
He became popular through dance show Aata in Zee Telugu channel. Making four successful series back to back is indeed an achievement. Would you believe that this program sometimes runs to 1 hour 45 mins yet audience cling to their television sets! Then he also made other projects like Anthyakshari and Bairavadweepam in the same channel.
He never stopped at being just an anchor but planned everything in his show. From concept of the show to its contestants, all done under his guidance. He would go to different cities where selections are held and he would personally select the contestants. He stays through the practice sessions of his contestants and supports them throughout. One may observe that he maintains good relationship with the choreographers and contestants of his earlier shows and many famous technicians of the film industry and that does truly help him in enhancing the quality of his show.
He has grown from an anchor to a production house today...through persistant hardwork.

How this blog started...

There are many great people between us who have been helping the society in their own way. I salute them all !
One principle that’s strongly carved in my mind since childhood is ‘Try growing to the top and forget not to help others on your way. ‘ and I do implement it in my little way. This little thought before we take a decision can take a long way making this world a lot better place to be.
But Mr.Omkar has been doing this since his first appearance on silver screen. And it is not so easy because it takes twice the pain to follow this path.
It’s his hard work that inspired me and this is the reason that makes me start this blog.
He proved that even in such a competitive field, we can still be good and successful at the same time...
This blog is just about what’s happening on screen. Of course it is going to be impartial and there will be some criticism coming along too.
And I wish one more too that Mr.Omkar and his team make many, many,..,many more successful projects and help even more people.
All the best to Mr.Omkar and his Oaks team !
